Your LinkedIn Profile.

I am fairly new to LinkedIn, and haven't a lot of experience with Social Media.
So, I have been doing heaps of research and learning as I go.

This series of articles on LinkedIn is aimed at the LinkedIn Newbie.
In part 1, I introduced you to LinkedIn.
Now, In Part 2, I aim to assist you in setting up your LinkedIn Profile.

Your LinkedIn Profile must be correct, as this is the doorway for others to find your business.
You can also use this to drive traffic back to your business home page.

Your LinkedIn Profile showcases your expertise in your niche, shows people who you are,
introduces your products and lets others know how you can help them.

Your LinkedIn Profile page is giving you the bricks to build your business.
As it taps into millions of available connections, it enables these connections
to see your area of expertise and they will come to you for advice.

When you have a LinkedIn Profile, you get immediate exposure.
You also receive higher ranking on Google simply by the affiliation.
However, just having a LinkedIn profile isn’t enough unless it’s built
to be effective - and there are many ways you can achieve that goal.

Your LinkedIn profile Page should be created to appeal to the needs of potential customers.

After you add your name, you can list the business you own or the services you provide.

You’ll also be able to list pertinent information like higher levels of education and previous places of work.

Then, when you’re recommended by others, it will show up in your profile as well.

LinkedIn also lists the amount of connections you’ve made.
Links to your external sites will also be available.  T
his gives customers easy access to your sites.
People will also be able to link directly to Twitter from your LinkedIn profile.

In the summary section, your profile should have a brief description of yourself as a business person.
It is important to touch on exactly what it is that you do and why you do it.
This allows customers see the human behind the business.

If you have a blog, you’ll be able to link pertinent posts to your LinkedIn profile page
which helps potential clients go to your blog and get to know more about you and your business.
