Barbeques in Australia.
I live in Victoria, Australia.  All my life we have partaken in numerous barbeques  and I have noticed that they all generally follow the same routine. My husband loves them and is always keen to accept invitations to whatever BBQ is on offer.

My question is......Are Barbeques the same everywhere?

Here's what seems to happen at most of the BBQs we attend.

BBQ jobs for Women.

* buy the food.
* make the salads, prepare the vegetables and make nibblies and dessert.
* prepare the meat for cooking, place it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces and take it to the man who is relaxing beside the BBQ -   alcoholic beverage in hand.
* remain outside the compulsory three metre exclusion zone where the men seem to congregate and be bonding with testosterone-filled activities.
*  organize the plates and cutlery.
*  tell the man that the meat is looking great.
* bring him another beer.
* bring out the plates, cutlery, salad, bread, utensils, serviettes, sauces, and   put them on the table.
* clear the table after everyone finishes.
* do the dishes.

BBQ Jobs for Men.

* light the BBQ

* have a beer

* place meat on BBQ

* have a beer

* turn meat when half cooked

* drink more beer.

* take meat off BBQ and hand to woman.

* eat food and drink heartily and accept heaps of praise from everyone.

* drink more beer.

Does this sound like the BBQs you attend?  Most Australian women would agree, I feel.

There is a Warning, though, to all men.

Don't ask your woman if she enjoyed her night off. If you do, be prepared to accept the consequences!!!!!!!!

I know there must be many men out there who can 'do it all'.

This article on Barbeques is not meant to offend.
It is written with 'tongue in cheek'.

If you enjoyed it, please share and I would love to read your comments.
