Pardon Me...Jane's Sunday Sermon

Did you get a look At Apple and Cider?

Those were the two turkeys, President Obama
pardoned last Wednesday.

They were 45 lbs each. Lucky they were pardoned
because I don't know anyone who could fit a 45
lb turkey in the oven.

Just goes to show you, under certain circumstances,
if you grow fat enough, you get to live:)

Don't Tell the First Lady, I said that please
or I will never get pardoned.

It is not just turkeys that get pardoned.

People get pardoned too sometimes.

Scooter Libby got pardoned for obstructing justice
by President Bush. well-not really pardoned-
just had his sentence commuted. That's the next
best thing to a pardon, I guess.

Karla Faye Tucker was not so lucky.

She got put to death after failing to obtain a pardon
along with 138 Texans who also failed to get
what Apple and Cider, got last Wednesday.

To Date, President Obama has pardoned no one at
all except the 2 turkeys.

Our last two presidents it seems are light
on the pardons.

There are other occasions for a pardon me.

In polite society when someone belches, they
say "Pardon Me" and I never know exactly what
one is suppose to say in response.

"Oh that's quite alright, think nothing of it"

or maybe...

"No, I pardoned you enough already and I am
not going to do it again!"

You also can find a pardon of sorts in the lyrics of
the Glenn Miller song Chattanooga choo choo

Pardon me, boy
Is that the Chattanooga choo choo?
Track twenty-nine
Boy, you can gimme a shine
I can afford
To board a Chattanooga choo choo
I've got my fare
And just a trifle to spare

Although, if you tried out those lines on people
today, you might get a wince and a look and
someone saying to you "Pardon Me?" in disapproving

Have you ever heard someone say...

"Well, pardon me for living" and they get all
huffy and turn away from you.

Or we say sometimes: "That was an unpardonable sin"

Pardon can be used for all sorts of things
that you may not have contemplated before.

If you put them all together, you might get this:

A fat living turkey that belches, with an
obstructer of justice who sings eyebrow raising
songs and 139 dead people who committed
unpardonable sins none of whom walked away
in a huff.

I bet you never saw pardon in quite this way before:)

Pardon Me: Jane's Sunday Sermon

So now that we have explored the broader
meaning of Pardon, what does that have to
do with you and working on the net and your
online business?

Absolutely nothing- unless, of course, you think
out of the box which sometimes I like to do.

You see it's Thanksgiving here in the States.

I'd like to think that we pardon a lot more
people in our own lives than simply 2 State
turkeys once a year.

I don't know about you but, when my family
gathers round the dinner table, it takes
at least 2 to 3 glasses of wine to get anyone
to pardon anyone.

Pardons should be easier to obtain whether from
Presidents or from friends or family members.

Empathy comes with a pardon.

You actually have to feel something when you
pardon people or even turkeys for that matter.

And empathy is a word that we have long lost
respect for at least in the US lately.

Empathy is actually important in business.

If you do not have the ability to feel what
your customers feel and what they are yearning
for, it will be hard for you to fill their
needs effectively.

Businesses thrive on finding a need and filling it.

To me, the unpardonable sin is seeing something
online that you know will help move your
business forward but you fail to take action
on it.

So the way I see it, is if you don't read the
two posts I have made here

You may never be able to pardon yourself:)

There are two very special deals there
waiting for your own business.

They each end tonight at midnight est.

Don't be the among all the turkeys that
were not pardoned this weekend.

Grab yourself a pardon and go for it.

Go get um
