We remember
September 11. 2011
I  watching on Chanel 4 the 9/11 Memorial
Thinking of all families who lost a loved one on this day a decade ago.
Thinking of my daugther who's husband will be never the same man before he served in Iraq.
Thinking of my grandchildren, who's father came back from the war with broken soul.

Today we are reminded the heartache of Sept 11.

Shaky hands are strokingly touching, the names of loved ones graved in the black granite
of the" Reflecting Absence" Waterfall at 9/11 Memorial site.
Others tacking pictures of the names, red and white roses, blue flowers, little flags on the stone.

Sons and daughters, moms and dads, grandfathers and ants, brothers and sisters, uncles and friends
with tears in their eyes, some with sad smiles, some with faltering voice,
remembering the loved ones, who died 10 years ago.:

"Dad ,I wish I could know you better,"

"When I close my eyes, I still can see you. I can hear your voice,
Your sons are growing to beautiful, strong persons."

"Dad, I wish you could be here and give me advice, how to grow up"

"Please continue to watch over us, specially your grandmother. "

"For the world she was only one person, but for me she was the world".

"Daddy, I love you I never met you, because on 9/11 2001 I was in my mom's belly,
but I love you very much, and I am proud of you..."

"My husband, my love of my life, my best friend, my hero, I miss you every day, rest in peace!"

"You are missed every day,I know we meet again one day"

"Dad, you can be proud of me. I never forget what you taught me:
Never give up, always be a kind but strong person. I am working on it Daddy!"

"I know you are with me in spirit always. Love you for ever"

"Dad, look upon my family, your family. you have 2 beautiful grandchildren now"

"Grandfather, you have a grand-grandson now and I teach him everything what I learned from you,I promise.
You can be proud of your family as we are proud of you. God bless America!"

"Dad, my hero, my Guardian angel ,love you .Never ever forget what you always said:
Carry on and be strong. God bless America!"

"Son, I love you for ever, you will be my baby until I live"

"Daddy, I know you are with me all the time.I know when I walking in the woods, you watching over me.
I know when I ketch a big fish, you are smiling up there. I just wish you could  huge me now."

"Daddy, I try to be strong, but I miss you so much. It hurts".

"My beautiful mother, who brightened  the life for many with your generosity and devotions, we love you for ever."

"My beautiful daugther, who was the sunshine on earth"

"You died for others. You saved many lives. I could not be more proud of you, my son!"

"You set the example and we proudly follow you Daddy!"

"God bless president Obama and president George Bush.
God protect our Troops in Afghanistan  God bless our beautiful Country!"

1;19 PM Final Choral performance:  I will remember you

Many people still rubbing  with pencils and crayons on papers their loved ones names from the black granite
of the " Reflecting Absence" Waterfall at 9/11 Memorial site.

Sept 11 and it's heroes made clear that at the end of the day, we are not Democrats or Republicans, but Americans.

Today Most Rev. Timothy Dolan Archbishop of NY celebrated a special Mass
in commemoration of the 10TH Anniversary of 9/11 in St Patric Cathedral in NY.

After Mass he read the commemoration message of Pope Benedict XVI .

Mattie Stepanek was 11 years old when he wrote this poem on the day of 9/11:

For Our World

We need to stop.
Just stop.
Stop for a moment.
Before anybody
Says or does anything
That may hurt anyone else.
We need to be silent.
Just silent.
Silent for a moment.
Before we forever lose
The blessing of songs
That grow in our hearts.
We need to notice.
Just notice.
Notice for a moment.
Before the future slips away
Into ashes and dust of humility.
Stop, be silent, and notice.
In so many ways, we are the same.
Our differences are unique treasures.
We have, we are, a mosaic of gifts
To nurture, to offer, to accept.
We need to be.
Just be.
Be for a moment.
Kind and gentle, innocent and trusting,
Like children and lambs,
Never judging or vengeful
Like the judging and vengeful.
And now, let us pray,
Differently, yet together,
Before there is no earth, no life,
No chance for peace.
