Welcome to Part 3 of my series on Marketing with Twitter.

In Part 1, I introduced you to the possibilities of Marketing with Twitter.


Part 2 was where I outlined some of the tools avaiable to help make your page more engaging and profitable.

In Part 3, I am going to ouline some handy hints for gathering customers. These hints will help you convert your Twitter Followers into Twitter Customers.


Using Twitter to Conduct Market Research



Did you know that you can listen to the needs of your prospects by using Twitter? You can also discover the issues these prospects face and the kind of help they would like.
Now, every business has a target market but you need to know the true needs of your market.


It's always a good feeling when you get notified of a new follower. It makes you feel good. From the very beginning, though, especially with social marketing, you need to foster a good relationship with this new follower.You need to gain both their trust and their confidence.

You can do this by following this good rule of thumb - keep 90% of your tweets full of valuable, helpful content and limit your promotional tweets.


Twitter Content



Quality content is the main thing which will keep your followers returning regularly. You need to post this content on as many blogs and websites as you can. These articles will label you as an expert.You can also post them in Article Directories such as EzineArticles.com, Articlesbase.com, Article Alley.com.
Then you need to share them with your Twitter followers.

If you read my last article, you will have discovered some nifty tools that work with Twitter. These can automatically check your posted blogs and share them to your Twitter and Facebook pages.


As well as quality articles, you can also post seminars, video training, educational materials and networking events.


Twitter Tool - Twitcam


There is a great website that permits you to stream live video on your Twitter page and chat real time with your followers. This is not for the camera-shy. However, it doesn't hurt to push beyond your comfort-zone and try something new. It will give you an instant connection between  you and your followers.


All these suggestions will go a long way  to converting your followers into paying customers.

Remember, now - keep the value of your content high and the volume of your promotions low. By doing this, and you will begin to see pleasing results from all your efforts.
